So, we have traveled so much, we are now in a somewhat tight race counting countries (Toby at 19 got to drive with his grandmother from London to Kathmandu) so he amassed quite a few that I missed out on, and it’s hard to catch up Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan right now… unfortuately!
But I digress, we ticked off San Marino (a tiny little country most people don’t know exists right in the heart of Italy – a bit south of Venice); Venice – a classic (so many tourists even in November, but a good friend who lives there says you just need to get off the tourist tracks… we needed more time to find that area – because it is well hidden!) and Malta (ancient ruins – oldest free standing structures in the world) and a lovely place, along with a spectacular lengthy history, caves and a Caravaggio.
